Choosing a Genre to Compose In

My Purpose with my research was to try and figure out how to create a club and see what it would take to manage one. This purpose had real life application, as a friend of mine and I were recently talking about creating a club.
I believe that my best three options for genre are to make a poster, a social media page, and a youtube video. I feel as if all of these ways are most effective of communicating my message to the audience, students of FSU. Social media is present in our lives almost everyday if not everyday. Posters can be easily seen and read around campus and allow people to read something while, say, waiting for an elevator at their dorm. Lastly, youtube is a place where tons of people go to watch videos and my video will show up if people search key words like college or club.
I don’t think many of the members of my audience will be familiar with my topic, because unless you do some research, the steps of creating a club aren’t known. The audience can, however, make predictions about what step could happen next. My audience may make an assumption that this process is very hard due to the amount of steps and the depth of each step, but if your heart is in it, you can do it.
I will connect with my audience through my poster at Salley. This method will give me exposure of my topic to my audience without them having to go out of their way to look up a social media handle, or a youtube video, but the poster will have this information included just in case they would like to learn more.
The most effective way to communicate my message would be through a short 30 second to minute long video in which I explain the steps to creating a club in slightly more depth than a poster or social media page could.
I really enjoy writing about myself because all of the information I need is already in my head and I don’t have to do any research. I also feel creative sometimes, so artsy genres are also enjoyable for me. A strength of mine, as a composer is my optimal work rate under pressure, procrastination makes the best come out of me. Another strength of mine would have to be my ability to be creative and have many different and cool ideas run through my head.
