Brainstorming Topic Ideas

When you are thinking/looking for a topic, remember to pick a topic that interests you, because you will be researching this topic for a long time.

Brainstorming can be enhanced by asking yourself questions, like, "Have you recently read a news article that has interested you?" or, "Do you have a personal problem or interest that you would like to know more about?" These kinds of questions help you broaden your horizons and think about new ideas.

My takeaway from the chapter is that brainstorming can be elevated by asking questions that open your mind up to new possibilities. You can avoid choosing a research topic you know too much about by simply avoiding questions that can be answered by you. You want to be able to learn knew things about the subject you are researching.

I will be researching space and will be interviewing someone within the community (possibly an astrophysicist), but the exact research question is yet to be determined.
